How much that will change is still to be determined but Microsoft has stated previously it is their goal to move everything for system management into the Windows Settings app. One of those areas that is a solid 50/50 mix of legacy and new is Printer Management which is accessible in Windows Settings>Devices>Printers & scanners.Īs you will see in this gallery walkthrough, the links under Printer Management use legacy elements of the Control Panel for right now. In many cases only parts of that functionality has made its way into the Windows Settings app from the Control Panel so we get a mix of old and new in most areas. Unfortunately, this transition has been and continues to be a slow and steady process.

As we continue to test the third major Feature Update to Windows 10, the Creators Update, we are seeing more of the legacy Control Panel functionality make its way into the Windows Settings app in Windows 10.
